Who We Are

We are a family-owned local company.

D+M FENCING has been building fences (and gates) for residents and businesses in the Houston and surrounding areas. With over 10 years of experience, we have been providing consumers with top-notch service. Our fence company has built an outstanding reputation that we continue to build on with the help of our dedicated employees and feedback from our loyal customers.

What We Do

We at D+M Fencing pride ourselves in building fences that will withstand the test of time.

All of our fences are built with 3 rails (staggered) 4x4 pressure treated post and 6" rot board. Our prices vary depending on style, choice of picket and length of fence to be built.

Cedar

Fences made of untreated cedar can last between 15 and 30 years, depending on how well you care for it and the specific cedar species used. If it's treated, a cedar fence may last up to 40 years. Cedar consistently outlasts other wood species. A spruce fence typically lasts only four to seven years. Cedar wood is a great all-around choice. Cedar has a maroon grain fill coupled with a reddish-brown appearance.

Fir

This is another abundant wood type that is very popular for fencing. With similar benefits as of pine, douglas fir has a few added advantages. It is one of the strongest softwoods, which can make it preferable over pine. It does not require treating, can be left natural, and will retain its yellowish look for a while before acquiring a gray hue, which can be delayed with sealing. It also does not warp or twist as much as it dries. Cost is its main disadvantage and is otherwise very suitable and workable for most fencing applications.

Pine

In fence posts, cedar lasts several years without rotting; however, they are less durable against soil than pressure treated pine (in posts). For this reason, it may be a good idea to use pressure treated pine for the posts and cedar for the rest of the fence. The most commonly used wood types for fences are cedar, spruce, and pine. Depending on the species, cedar may last for about 15-30 years, spruce may last for about 4-7 years, and pine may last for about 5-12 years.
